Statewide Beekeeper Referral Network

Help for Honeybees That Need a New Home

The Kansas Honeybee Removal Directory is designed to connect property owners with independent beekeepers who may be able to collect a swarm or relocate an established honeybee colony.

Request a Referral

First: Is Anyone in Immediate Danger?

If someone is experiencing a serious allergic reaction or another medical emergency, call 911. Do not approach, spray, seal, or disturb an active colony while waiting for help.

Before Requesting a Referral

Make Sure They May Be Honeybees

Honeybees are generally fuzzy, brown-and-gold insects. Wasps and hornets often look smoother and more sharply striped. A hanging cluster of bees may be a temporary swarm, while steady traffic entering a wall, tree cavity, roofline, or structure may indicate an established colony.

Identification from a description or photograph is not guaranteed. A participating beekeeper may ask for clear photos or video before deciding whether the request is within their experience.

Independent Beekeeper Disclaimer

Beekeepers listed in or referred through this directory are independent service providers and are not employees, agents, representatives, or contractors of AJ Honey Farms. Any agreement, contract, payment, authorization, property access, removal work, repairs, damages, disputes, or other arrangements are solely between the participating beekeeper and the landowner, homeowner, tenant, property manager, or other person requesting service. AJ Honey Farms is not a party to those arrangements and does not assume responsibility for either party’s actions or obligations.

Important Directory Terms

Please Understand the Limits

  • AJ Honey Farms operates the directory as a referral resource.
  • A listing is not an employment relationship, endorsement, warranty, or guarantee.
  • AJ Honey Farms does not guarantee identification, availability, response time, pricing, insurance, licensing, workmanship, colony survival, repairs, or outcomes.
  • Directory participants are independent and make their own service decisions.
  • Property owners should ask providers directly about experience, insurance, methods, pricing, and structural repairs.

Do Not Seal an Active Entrance

Closing an entrance while bees remain inside can move activity deeper into a structure and complicate removal. Wait for guidance from a qualified provider.

Avoid Pesticide Use

Spraying can endanger people, contaminate comb and honey, and make relocation more difficult.
